Rutherglen Community Carers provide support to individuals with a dementia or mental Ill health and their carers in a variety of ways, through a person-centred approach.  We are not currently recruiting community carers to provide home based respite.

Within this post you will be required to demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Respect for the rights and choices of the cared for

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A caring and sensitive attitude

  • The ability to be both adaptable and flexible

SVQ Level 2 would be an advantage. Successful applicants will be subject to Disclosure Scotland.

For an application pack, job description or further information please contact the office.

Management Committee

In order to further the work of the organisation we wish to increase the skills base of the committee and are seeking additional members.  Successful candidates would be required to attend approximately twelve meetings per year and there are opportunities for further involvement.

The committee usually meets once a month.  Being part of the committee gives you the opportunity to be involved in a vibrant organisation which is constantly looking at new ways of developing its work and which contributes greatly to the lives of many individuals and families within the area.

If you would like more information about the role, then please contact the office on the number below.
